Deanne Whissen DVM (How do you say that last name? Say WITTEN (like the Dallas Cowboys Jason Witten -- Go Cowboys!!!) and replace the TTEN with SSEN and you got it!) This is my beautiful vision for exceptional feline and small dog veterinary care. I started working in the field of veterinary medicine at the age of 18 as a kennel technician in a Fort Worth animal hospital. My dream as a 5 year old was to become a veterinarian. Before starting my own clinic, I was a long time associate at a clinic in Lewisville, TX. I enjoyed my time there working with excellent doctors who have taught me a wealth of information. Additionally, I spent some time with Dr. Kent Cooper in Grand Prairie who has a special interest in feline medicine. I joined him on a few of his special ultrasound sessions of persians looking for polycystic kidney disease(PKD). Also, doing an internship at his hospital as a veterinary student. I especially enjoy ultrasound and radiology, endocrine issues such as diabetes, and hyperthyroid. My own feline family consists of Persians: Jazmin, Marigold, Aikman, Tooner. I'm pictured above with Miss Marigold. |
