Rebecca Morgan, RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician)
Practice Manager

When Becky moved to Texas in 1989 at eight years old, her family FINALLY got their first puppy! Never having animals before, helping to raise Scooter opened up a whole new world for Becky. Also feeding her love of animals was living on a street where the dogs, cats, goats, horses, mules, and cattle far outnumbered the people. At age 19 while enrolled in college, she began working at a veterinary clinic and knew she had found her niche.

The job wasn't as glamorous as you might imagine, although it had many rewards. The days were peppered with litters of tiny kittens, cute puppies but mostly consisted of moping floors, scrubbing baseboards and scooping poop. Becky wanted to do more hands-on work with the variety of animals that passed through the clinic and was able to delve into more medical things under the tutelage of an RVT at her first clinic, Kristen Nichols. From there, she knew she wanted to follow the same path and enrolled in Cedar Valley College in their Animal Science program. Since Becky had already attended the University of North Texas for her pre-requisites, she was able to start the program immediately. In 2005, Becky graduated and went on to pass the state and national board testing to become one of 1,000 Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) in Texas.

Going from kennel help to RVT in her first clinic was such an awesome experience. It made Becky appreciative of the entire team and allowed her to acquire the skills needed to blend into any hospital and gave her respect for every level. It was a great start to work in a thriving clinic with everyone so willing to teach and grow.

Shortly after achieving the title of RVT, Becky took the leap into emergency medicine on a more full time basis while still helping daytime veterinary clinics as well. It was a fast paced and exciting adventure. In emergency medicine the cases come quickly and the knowledge gained from these experiences is invaluable. If not for the odd hours, Becky might have stayed in emergency care forever.

However, as luck would have it, Becky's friend, Dr. Dee Whissen, was opening a cat hospital and needed help. Becky just couldn't pass up such a great opportunity. In 2008, Becky assisted in the opening of the Hebron Cat Hospital, where she has remained as Practice Manager.

Becky has two little dogs, Dafne, a jack Russell terrier and Carrie, a rat terrier. As you can tell, Becky and her husband Matt, enjoy a terrier challenge. Dafne is an avid swimmer and Carrie is an award winning bug catcher, together they make life interesting.

Daniel - Czar of Crunchy Treats, Tiny Fish and Pesky, Feathered Toys

Daniel is our resident cat. He likes high voices, shedding, drooling on shoes and a long getting to know you time period. He keeps our condo area sparkling clean of any food items left out and keeps the fish in line. He spends his free time vacationing in Paris and Hawaii as the fancy takes him. He also gives blood to his fellow kitties in need as the rare occasion arises. Of his charitable work he is very modest and chooses to not comment during interviews.
